Custom 5 Day Tasmanian West - Walk & Canoe

This tour starts and finishes in Hobart, 5 Days and 4 Nights Camping and Walking Tour

The ideal tour to experience Tasmania’s wild and remote west coast. We aim  to stay away from the crowds
Each day we  participate in bush walks from 1- 5 hours and travel by mini bus . Each night we experience camping and delicious meals with campfire cooking. We see and appreciate Tasmania’s unique wildlife in the wild

Day 1 (L,D)  Devonport to Cradle mountain

Pick up (approx 9:30 or as needed)
Depart to Mole Creek caves ($19 pp) if this is some thing your interested in. After lunch drive the 1.5 hours to Cradle Mt. Afternoon walks, plenty of variety to choose from (Optional devil feeding experience). Camp in Cradle area about 15 mins from the park

Day 2 (B,L,D) Cradle mountain to Corinna

Journeying further west for approx an hour we have the choice of some
impressive walks. The hike up to the lookout on Mt Murchison offers
rewarding views of western Tasmanian mountains and lakes, and if weather
is not so good the walk to Montezuma falls offers excellent relaxed
experience of regrowth rain forest
The ultimate destination for today
is Corinna on the southern reaches of the Tarkine rain forest, this
will be our base for the next 2 nights as we explore the area. There are
shorter afternoon walks to enjoy or simply enjoy a drink on the
verandah of the hotel and watch sunset

Day 3 (B,L,D) Cradle mountain to Corinna

An early morning paddle on the Pieman river (included in price of
your) is the highlight of the trip for most guests. The area has many
other walks from 1.5 to 4 hours experiencing excellent cool temperate
rain forest. If you wish to see the rugged coast a 1 hour drive to Trial
Harbor offers a fantastic location to beach comb
White water rafting is an option on da y 3 or 4 depending on weather

Day 4 (B,L,D) Corinna to Laake St Clair

Leaving the Tarkine we make our way back to the hills, but first we stop to explore the rugged coastal community of Trial Harbour. This quiet coastal village offers the perfect place to explore the fascinating beaches of the west coast

After lunch we continue the drive visiting waterfalls and lookouts on the way

Day 5 (B,L) Lake St Clair to Hobart Airport

We will make our way back to Hobart Airport for midday. A quick visit to Mt Filed waterfalls is an option if we have enough time

All inclusive small group guided 5 Day active camping and walking tour exploring the Central Highlands and West Coast of Tasmania. All food from lunch day 1 to lunch to day 5 included. Snacks and small amounts of alcohol are permitted or can be brought along the way. Transport, parks passes; camping and cooking equipment is provided. Sleeping bags and rain jackets available for hire
