4 Day Tasmanian North West - Walk & Canoe 

Designed for small groups and families. Ramble on some rugged and remote west coast beaches. Marvel at Tasmania’s cool temperate Tarkine rain forest. Immerse your self in the beauty of Cradle Mountain 

Each day we walk or hike, kayak and explore, then travel between the destinations in private transport . The evenings are a mix of accomodation experiences. Cabins and Lodges close to the beauty spots. Private camps and delicious meals enjoyed around a campfire and watching the stars

Day 1 (L,D)  Launceston to Tarkine via Cradle Mountain

Depart Launceston about 7:00am. There will be a stop for breakfast and supplies at a cafe about 30 minutes from Launceston

Cradle Mountain offers a choice hikes for any level of ability. Classics like Marion's Lookout  are an achievable challenge. If you want a more challenging experience the Hanson’s Peak, Face track loop makes for an unforgettable day

The afternoon drive takes us to our private camp in the Tarkine rainforest

Day 2 (B,L,D) Corinna rain forest experience 

Waking up near the Pieman river we have many choices to explore the area. They can be a series of shorter walks or a excellent full day option that leaves camp for seldom used tracks through the ancient forest. A lunch break at the edge of a river will refresh us for the afternoon walk up Mt Donaldson for spectacular views from the mountain to the coast 

Day 3 (B,L,D) Corinna - to Trial Harbour
An early morning paddle on the serene Pieman river is a highlight of the trip. just a 2 minute walk from camp to paddle on rainforest cloaked, serene waters. The return journey is up to 2.5 hours depending on the direction we choose. 

Leaving Corinna a short drive brings us to our next destination, Trial Harbour. This cute village is nestled between rugged coastline and rolling granite hills. The beaches are a fascinating place to explore at leisure. Rounding off the day with a swim in the "harbour" is a perfect way to round out the day before making another great dinner at nights lodgings in one of the village holiday houses.

Day 4 (B,L) Trial Harbour to Launceston

As we depart the village we stop for a walk through the rolling granite hills to a lookout offering a sweeping vista of the longest beach in Tasmania framed by an abundance of mountains and ocean.  After lunch in Zeehan we depart for Launceston arriving around 5pm. We will drop you off to your accommodation


What's included

All inclusive small group guided 4 Day active camping and walking tour exploring North West Tasmania. We encourage participation in duties like setting up camp and clean up from meals. All food from lunch day 1 to lunch to day 4 included. Snacks and small amounts of alcohol are permitted or can be brought along the way. Transport, parks passes; camping and cooking equipment is provided
